Hello LFCS families,

My name is Katie Ruth and this is my first year teaching. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in Kindergarten and it has been so special making this dream of mine a reality. Literacy First has a special place in my heart as I went to school here from Kindergarten to Eighth grade. 

 

I majored in Elementary Education and received my bachelors degree in Liberal Studies at San Diego State University. This past year I completed my Masters in Inspired Teaching and Learning with a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at National University.

My passion in the classroom is to create a safe and welcoming environment where your child feels cherished, nourished and loved! I am honored to have the opportunity to teach your child this year and I look forward to a wonderful year:)
